SHIPPING ENTERPRISES is based in the Port of Tauranga - New Zealand's largest Port in terms of Tonnage handled. It is a truly Independent Ships Agency with no outside company involvement and therefore dedicated to providing a superior service to all of our customers.  

The company was formed in 1986 by Managing Director Jim Burch and his Wife, Shirleyanne. At that stage, Jim had 31 years experience in Shipping Agency and Stevedoring Administration. He gained the initial support of New Zealand's largest Exporter along with a number of International Shipping lines involved in World-wide Charter Shipping.

The support continues to this day, but with the addition of major Liner Operators, Parcel Tankers, Logs and Woodchips, Sawn Lumber, Woodpulp, Paper products and Fresh Produce.

Shipping Enterprises have established contacts with all the major Importers and Exporters in this, the fastest growing region in New Zealand.
